The Legendary Coffee Exchange By Cafe Imports Returns To Expo

Swap Swap Swap-Swap-Swap-Swap Swap Swap Swap-Swap-Swap-Swap Everybody!

That’s right, one of the largest in-person coffee swaps is a go for 2025. Taking place at SCA Expo in Houston later this month, Cafe Imports‘s Legendary Coffee Exchange returns and it brings with it the chance to win an Ikawa sample roaster. Not too shabby just for drinking some coffee.

The Legendary Coffee Exchange started back in 2021, during the throes of COVID, as a means of keeping coffee roasters connected. It was such a rousing success that when Expo returned in 2022, Cafe Imports hosted their first in-person version of the Exchange. And the rest, as they say, is history.

This year’s event will operate in the same manner as previous iterations. Roasters planning on attending Expo will sign up for free, which can be done here. They will bring with them to Expo one bag of coffee (8-16oz preferred) and two business cards to be dropped of at the Cafe Imports booth (1236) any time on Friday or Saturday of the event. There, you will pick up a bag of coffee from your swap partner—along with their contact information—to take home and cup post-Expo. Then it’s up to you and your swap mate to schedule some time to taste each other’s coffees, provide feedback, and just network with fellow industry professionals.

But that doesn’t mean the fun stops at Expo. On Friday, Cafe Imports will hop on Instagram Live to announce the winner of the drawing and will hand over the Ikawa Pro 50 Sample Roaster to the lucky recipient on the spot.

It all takes place April 25th through 27th at the SCA Expo in Houston, Texas. Participation is open to any roaster that will be in attendance and is completely free to sign up.
